BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Authorities in Argentina say a 58-year-old man from Uruguay has been protected in great health in the wake of using four months lost in the Andes.
The commonplace crisis administration says Raul Fernando Gomez was discovered Sunday. It says he had lost in the vicinity of 45 pounds and was dried out, and seems to be treated at a healing center.
Authorities say Gomez had been accounted for lost in May while attempting to bike over the Andes between Chile and Argentina. They cite Gomez as saying his bike broke down and he tried to complete his trek by walking, yet got confused by two overwhelming snowfalls.
