Saudi Arabia has sent passing column convicts from a few countries to battle against the Syrian government in return for driving their sentences, the Assyrian International News Agency reports.
Refering to what it calls a "top mystery reminder" in April from the Ministry of Interior, AINA says the Saudi offered 1,239 detainees an acquittal and a month to month stipend for their families, which were permitted to stay in the Sunni Arab kingdom. Syrian President Bashar Assad is an Alawite, a minority Shiite faction.
Consistent with an English interpretation of the notice, also Saudis, the detainees incorporated Afghans, Egyptians, Iraqis, Jordanians, Kuwaitis, Pakistanis, Palestinians, Somalis, Sudanese, Syrians and Yemenis. All confronted "execution by sword" for homicide, assault or pill carrying.
