Pa. governor compares gay marriage to incest (USA News)

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett thought about same-sex marriage to inbreeding in a TV meeting.

The Republican made his remark Friday, reacting to an inquiry regarding an articulation made by state lawyers in court records this middle of the year. In the indexing, Corbett organization legal advisors contrasted gay and lesbian couples with youngsters, noting that none, of these may lawfully wed in Pennsylvania.

"It was an unseemly similarity, you know," Corbett said. "I suppose a greatly improved similarity might have been sibling and sister, don't you?"

Democrats seized on the remark and a film of the trade on WHP-TV was transferred by the Pennsylvania Democratic Party to Youtube. Vermont Gov. Dwindle Shumlin, director of the Democratic Governors Association, called Corbett's comment "a silly correlation of same-sex marriage" to kin familial lust that is "hostile and demeaning."
