Toronto loves '12 Years a Slave' (USA News)

TORONTO — Hear that? It's the sound of 12 Years a Slave picking up energy.

The film, an immersive story established in subjugation in the 1840s, earned an overwhelming applause at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday night, taking after a buzzy make a big appearance at the Telluride fest a week ago.

Slave, out in constrained discharge Oct. 18, is dependent upon the story of Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a free dark man living in Saratoga, N.y., in 1841 who was captured and sold into subjugation in the South. Solomon, a knowledgeable, decently voyaged violinist with a family in New York, gradually plummets into a dehumanized hellfire with no perceivable passageway. The story is dependent upon a self-portrayal Northup distributed after his salvage.
