A two-year-old young lady left a nursery unnoticed and strolled half a mile home alone, police have affirmed.
Louise Hilton left Windmill Hill Nursery, Runcorn, at in the ballpark of 13:00 on Wednesday and not long after knocked on her guardians' entryway colloquialism "Mummy, I'm home".
It is accepted an entryway at the nursery was left open by a worker, police said. The nursery has not remarked.
Louise's father John, said it was a "stunning issue" and called for sackings.
"She got out of school, electric doors and everything, strolled half a mile, strolled through the woods and was 50 yards far from the trench," said Mr Hilton.
"It's so stunning, its fantastic that the school can't even notice she's gone. Anything could have happened. Someone ought to be sacked."

Mr Hilton alarmed police who said they have alluded the episode to the gathering. He has since enrolled his little girl with an alternate nursery.
A representative for Halton Borough Council said: "The chamber has been furnishing consultation and back to the nursery accompanying notice of the episode."
The nursery, based close Windmill Hill Primary School, is private and Ofsted-enrolled.
A Cheshire Police representative said: "At this stage it is accepted the kid departed from the nursery after workers left an entryway open.
"The youngster was unharmed and the matter has been alluded to the nearby power."
