The antagonized wife of George Zimmerman selected not to press charges against her spouse Monday after police in Florida reacted to her wailing 911 call reporting he had punched her father and was debilitating them with a firearm.
"I'm truly frightened,'' Shellie Zimmerman might be heard telling Lake Mary, Fla., police in a sound recording of a 911 call set around 2 p.m. Monday to dominant presences in the suburb northeast of Orlando.
Zimmerman was vindicated in July in the shooting passing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in a case that caught the country's consideration and put a focus on Florida's self-protection firearm laws.
Police permitted Zimmerman to go free Monday evening in the wake of addressing him outside the home where Shellie Zimmerman put the 911 call. Police Chief Steve Bracknell said Shellie Zimmerman and her father chose not to press accuses in the wake of counseling of a lawyer.
Police delegate boss Colin Morgan said prior that police held George Zimmerman in "investigative detainment'' while they researched the question.
