The antagonized wife of George Zimmerman selected not to press charges against her spouse Monday after police in Florida reacted to her crying 911 call reporting he had punched her father and was undermining them with a weapon.
"I'm truly frightened,'' Shellie Zimmerman might be heard telling Lake Mary, Fla., police in a sound recording of a 911 call put around 2 p.m. Monday to compelling voices in the suburb northeast of Orlando.
Zimmerman was absolved in July in the shooting demise of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in a case that caught the country's consideration and put a focus on Florida's self-preservation weapon laws.
Police permitted Zimmerman to go free Monday evening in the wake of addressing him outside the home where Shellie Zimmerman set the 911 call. Police Chief Steve Bracknell said Shellie Zimmerman and her father chose not to press accuses in the wake of counseling of a lawyer.
Police agent head Colin Morgan said prior that police held George Zimmerman in "investigative detainment'' while they explored the debate.
