SHIRLEY, New York (AP) — A creature control officer had many snakes, incorporating two 6-foot (1.8-meter) Burmese pythons, at his home, where he ran an illicit side business offering them, powers said Thursday.
There were 850 snakes worth half a million dollars in a disconnected parking space at the Shirley home of Richard Parrinello, incorporating the Burmese pythons, which are illicit in New York state, authorities said.
"There is an excuse for why Burmese pythons are unlawful," said Suffolk County SPCA Chief Roy Gross, refering to the passings of two youthful young men in New Brunswick, Canada, who were killed by an African rock python while they dozed a month ago.
Terrible said Burmese pythons can develop to 30 feet (9 meters) in length and are "a mishap holding up to happen."

Powers recognized the snakes throughout an examination into if Parrinello was working while on handicap leave from his town work.
Throughout a weeks-in length undercover examination, powers said, agents found Parrinello on Polaroid guaranteeing he had $500,000 in stock — incorporating snakes, turtles and turtle eggs — saved in a carport he'd changed over into natural surroundings space.
Parrinello faces various charges of owning the pythons and damaging town codes by running a business at his home without a license. He was issued two violations by the state's Department of Environmental Conservation.
Powers said Parrinello is chipping in. A man who addressed the telephone at a number recorded on Parrinello's Snakeman's Exotics site said he had no remark.
