Deadly Pakistan quake may have created new island (USA News)

USA News _ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistani authorities are examining if the capable quake that murdered handfuls likewise made another island off the southern coast.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department's chief general, Arif Mahmood, says witnesses have reported that a little island has showed up close to the port of Gwadar.

He says the temblor could have made the earth under the ocean climb, yet authorities need to explore further.
