NY rabbi blamed for imitating a cop

A few drivers in the suburbs north of New York City were startled when they saw a man waving his arms, blaring his horn and blazing a silver identification in a berserk endeavor to get them to force over in activity.

Rabbi Alfredo Borodowski has been captured in one case and seems to be explored in no less than two increasingly in which powers say the clear purpose behind attempting to draw individuals over was to wrath at them for cutting him off or driving too gradually.

"That young lady was driving too moderate and I despise when individuals do this," the 49-year-old Borodowski told agents after he was accused of imitating a cop in June, when he purportedly pulled his Camry nearby a lady's auto in Mamaroneck, flashed an identification and yelled, "Police! Police! Pull over!"

The lady, whose name has not been made open, did not pull over. As per her legal counselor, Richard Clifford, the rabbi "only laid on the horn and began screeching at her" as she complied with a 20-mph farthest point in a school zone. "She was so gone ballistic with the horn sounding and the screeching that she called police promptly. ... I accept my customer was in risk with this gentleman and assuming that she had gotten out of her auto it could have heightened."

Borodowski denied to police he was attempting to mimic an officer, adage that he was telling the lady just that he might be "calling the police."

Police reallocated the symbol, which read: "Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority Officer 1338." Judie Glave, a representative for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which regulates the extension and tunnel power, said the marker is "completely fake."

Borodowski's attorney, Andrew Rubin, affirmed that the rabbi's conduct has been "manic" and said he's experiencing bipolar jumble. The legal advisor said the rabbi will argue not blameworthy in court without much fanfare. A past listening to was deferred on the grounds that the rabbi was hospitalized.

The rabbi has been let go from a position at prestigious Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan, one of the planet's biggest Jewish houses of love. He additionally heads an assembly in Larchmont.

Moses said his wife asked him not to report the episode, yet altered her opinion when they studied of the capture in Mamaroneck. "What we need is for the rabbi to get the zealous help he so clearly needs," he said.

Yet an additional driver gave State Police a movie of a showdown in late April on Interstate 87 close Yonkers. The man told powers that he swerved before a driver who then flashed a marker and requested that he draw over.

Police are not discharging the film, yet a still picture from it acquired by The Journal News shows a man who looks like Borodowski staying his take off of his auto window, his wispy graying hair blowing in the wind, who seems, by all accounts, to be yelling and waving a silver marker in a calfskin case.

"He was holding up this small brand, and I knew the fellow could no way be a cop in any feeling of the expression," the driver, whose name has not been made open, told the daily paper. At the time he tested the man, he drove off.

The three grievances aroused the trustees of Temple Emanu-El to reject Borodowski as official chief of the Skirball Center for Jewish Learning "to the greatest advantage of the Congregation," said Mark Weisstuch, managerial VP.
